How It Works

The Speed Demon is all about velocity as both offense and defense. The Charger item multiplies your damage based on your current movement speed, meaning the faster you move, the harder you hit. Adrenaline provides a burst of speed on activation, while the Ninja Belt's passive speed buff keeps your baseline velocity high. Double Jump ensures you can maintain speed through aerial sections and avoid ground-based threats.

The core loop is simple but demanding: activate Adrenaline, sprint through enemies using the Charger's speed-scaling damage, and use Double Jump to maintain momentum over gaps and terrain. The Ninja Belt's dash ability serves as both an emergency escape and a repositioning tool during combat.

Strengths

• Untouchable mobility. This build moves faster than almost every enemy in the game, including Scrapmaws in chase mode.

• Struggles against Sorrow auras. The speed debuff directly reduces your damage output via the Charger scaling.
• Learning curve. New players will struggle to control movement at these speeds while fighting.

Tips

Use Adrenaline at the start of each room for an immediate damage spike as you blitz through the first wave of enemies. Save the Ninja Belt dash for emergency escapes rather than routine movement — its cooldown is short but the burst speed is invaluable for dodging Guardian charges or Nil platform erasures. Practice maintaining speed through vertical sections with Double Jump timing; the Speed Demon's DPS drops dramatically when you slow down for platforming. This build shines brightest in the hands of players who know enemy patterns and room layouts by heart.
