Gift Magnet
Gift Magnet is a B-tier upgrade in Nullscape that attracts nearby collectibles to your character. A convenient quality-of-life upgrade that boosts your Sheckles and item income during runs.
Gift Magnet
Gift Magnet is a quality-of-life upgrade that automatically pulls nearby collectibles toward your character. Sheckles, health pickups, power orbs, and other loose items scattered throughout rooms are drawn to you within a set radius, eliminating the need to manually walk over each one.
How It Works
After purchasing Gift Magnet, any collectible item that spawns or drops within the magnet's radius will slowly drift toward your character. The pull radius is generous enough to cover most of a standard room, meaning items in your general vicinity will come to you without any effort on your part. The pull speed is not instant — items float toward you over about one to two seconds — but this is fast enough that you rarely need to change your path to collect things.
The upgrade is particularly valuable after clearing enemy rooms, where multiple collectibles drop in a scattered pattern. Instead of carefully navigating between each pickup, Gift Magnet gathers everything to you as you move through the area. This saves significant time over the course of a full run and ensures you rarely miss items hidden in corners or behind obstacles.
Cost and Availability
Gift Magnet is one of the more affordable upgrades in the Mart, priced in the low Sheckles range. It appears frequently in shop rotations and is a common early-game purchase for players looking to maximize their economy and convenience. The low cost makes it an easy addition to almost any build.
Tier Ranking: B
Gift Magnet earns a B-tier ranking because it provides genuine convenience and economic value but does not directly improve your combat ability or survivability. The Sheckles and items you collect with it translate into better upgrades later, but the impact is indirect and gradual rather than immediate. It is an excellent luxury upgrade that pays for itself over time, but it should not be prioritized over core mobility or defensive upgrades.
Best Synergies
- Paycheck: Passive income combined with automatic collection means your Sheckle economy grows faster than players who rely solely on manual pickup.
- Medal: More collectibles gathered throughout the run translates into a larger bonus at the end, and Medal multiplies that bonus.
- Radar: Identify safe, enemy-cleared areas where collectibles have settled, and move through them to vacuum everything up without threat.
- Business License: The discount helps you afford Gift Magnet earlier, and the extra Sheckles from magnetized pickups compound with the discount on future purchases.
Tips
Gift Magnet is a great purchase when you have a small amount of leftover Sheckles after buying your core upgrades. Do not spend your entire budget on it early in a run — mobility and defense come first. However, in longer runs where you are already well-equipped, Gift Magnet is an excellent way to snowball your economy for the final stretch.
