Panic Necklace

Panic Necklace is a C-tier upgrade in Nullscape providing an emergency speed burst at low HP. Learn activation thresholds, cooldown details, and when this panic button saves your run.

Panic Necklace

Panic Necklace is a defensive mobility upgrade that grants a burst of speed when your health drops to a critical threshold. It functions as a panic button — a last-resort escape tool that activates automatically when you are in the most danger, giving you a chance to flee, heal, or find cover before the next hit lands.

How It Works

The Panic Necklace monitors your health in real time. When your HP falls below a specific critical threshold — typically around twenty to twenty-five percent of your maximum health — the necklace activates and applies a significant speed boost for a short duration. The burst is stronger than standard movement but shorter in duration than Adrenaline's boost, reflecting its role as an emergency tool rather than a sustained mobility option.

The activation is automatic and requires no player input, which is both a strength and a limitation. You cannot choose when to trigger it, but you also do not need to think about it during high-pressure moments — it simply fires when you need it most. After activation, the Panic Necklace enters a cooldown before it can trigger again, preventing repeated activations from a single period of low health.

Cost and Availability

Panic Necklace is priced in the low Sheckles range and appears with moderate frequency in Mart rotations. It is often picked up by players who do not yet have Helmet or Shield and need some form of emergency protection. The low cost makes it an easy impulse purchase when nothing else in the shop is appealing.

Tier Ranking: C

Panic Necklace earns a C-tier ranking because its value is reactive rather than proactive. It only activates when you are already in trouble, meaning it is a tool for recovering from mistakes rather than preventing them. Upgrades like Helmet and Shield prevent damage before it happens, which is inherently more valuable than responding after the fact. Panic Necklace can occasionally save a run that would otherwise be lost, but it is not reliable enough to build a strategy around.

Best Synergies

  • Blossom: Panic Necklace speeds you away from danger while Blossom heals you, creating a recovery loop where you escape, heal above the critical threshold, and are ready to re-engage.
  • Shield: If Panic Necklace triggers but you take another hit before escaping, Shield absorbs it, giving you more time to find safety.
  • Adrenaline: Both speed upgrades can stack during a chase, making you nearly impossible to catch even in the most desperate situations.
  • Medal: Surviving a near-death experience means you complete more rooms, which increases the end-of-run bonus that Medal multiplies.

Tips

Do not rely on Panic Necklace as your primary defense. It is a safety net, not a strategy. If you find yourself triggering it frequently, you need to invest in better defensive upgrades like Helmet or Shield. Use the speed burst to reach health pickups or safe zones, not to continue fighting at low HP.
